About Me

This is the boring bit! I started writing in 2008, at a creative writing course in St Andrews. Since then, I have continued to write, especially with the encouragement of the Glasgow Writers Group. I have published one novel with Wild Wolf Publishing (“By The Sword”) and I have a number of short stories in print, including the prizewinning story “Handling Snakes”. I co-edited an anthology in aid of the Japanese tsunami appeal (“A Thousand Cranes” published by Cargo Publishing) which was a highlight of the Margins Festival in Glasgow in early 2012.

Other than writing, I was a Royal Air Force officer and I now have a day job in town planning. I am married with two daughters and live between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

My inspirations are crime and horror.
